I think that KE and GPE are about the same for quite a few reasons. Lets start of with definitions, the definition of Kinetic Energy (KE) is energy an object has due to its motion, as where Gravitational Potential Energy (GPE) is energy stored in an object due to its position. On earth, because it is spinning at 1037.56 mph, there is definitely more kinetic energy, but if the Earth suddenly stopped, then there would be about the same if not more GPE because everything that is off the ground COULD fall. Things such as a tree or an apple or even a person. But then again, lots of things are moving to like humans, animals, and the wind blows things to make them move. And people breath pushing the air in the world around so that has lots of KE also. So like i said before i think that their is more KE than GPE because of the fact that the earth is moving very fast, but if you take out that factor, then they are about the same, maybe a bit more GPE. So in my opinion, their would be more KE int he world than GPE. This means that there are more things that are more moving in the world than things that could fall in this world.
